Electronic Controls, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Level BAS Controls Technician / Engineer to join our team.
Description:
• As a member of the ECI team, the BAS Technician / Engineer will work with the Operations group, and will be responsible for supporting our projects with in-house programming and graphics development, onsite start-up and commissioning of HVAC systems, as well as network / integration work. Responsibilities: • Programming, graphics and startup of DDC systems, day-to-day service and maintenance, diagnoses, repairs, advanced programming and commissioning of HVAC DDC control systems. • Technical integrations to 3rd party systems • Provide technical support on current products. • Provide remote and on-site technical troubleshooting to resolve customer issues. • Actively participate in technician training. Act as presenter, updating technical support to field technicians on company products. • Work with fellow team members to develop and share technical solutions. • Diagnose and resolve technical problems on jobs and report to project management. • Maintain technical expertise on new products, tools, and integrations through research and continuing education. • Review new technical documentation and provide communications and training to fellow employees. • Provide new innovations and development for the enhancement of the company’s final product • Create system database and job specific application programming for building automation control systems. • Create system graphics as well as working on enhancements to existing graphics libraries. • Provide and/or assist with the on-site programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning and validation processes. • Participate in job site final walk-throughs, complete pertinent job closeout documentation, and provide customer training. • Act as a technical resource to existing customers as well as to fellow employees.
Education and Experience:
• 5+ years experience in controls applications in the design, programming, and installation of BAS systems. • Knowledge of DDC systems such as Siemens, Delta, Honeywell, JCI, Trane, and Tridium/Niagara AX is preferred.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience with systems integration • Understanding of building mechanical HVAC, electrical and temperature controls systems. • Excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks • Preferred strong knowledge of MS Office, Windows file structure, TCP/IP network structure and web navigation and development • Knowledge of Visio a plus • Clean driving record • Flexible • Able to lift 30 lbs. and perform other general physical requirements such as bending, climbing stairs and ladders
