FIELD TECHNICIAN - BUILDING AUTOMATION/HVAC CONTROLS

Electronic Controls, Inc. is seeking Field Controls Technicians and helpers. We are looking for a hard worker, talented team player, someone that loves the technology and works to hone their craft.
Description:
• As a member of the ECI team, the Technician will be responsible for field installation of hvac controllers and devices, programming and startup of control systems, and interfacing with the customer to meet their schedule and needs. As an entry level technician, the new employee would be teamed with experienced technicians to learn the specifics of the trade as well as the potential for receiving online training and certification.
Responsibilities:
• Install controllers and other field devices, run low voltage cable and make termination.
• Assist with the on-site programming, start-up and commissioning from controller to end devices.
• Coordinate with the customer or contractor to ensure installation stays on schedule and scope.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems on jobs and report to project management.
• Work with fellow team members to develop and share technical solutions.
• Maintain and advance technical expertise through research and continuing education.
• Programming and startup of DDC systems, day-to-day service and maintenance, diagnoses, repairs, advanced programming and commissioning of HVAC and DDC control systems.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
• Associates/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in hvac, electrical, electronics, or Engineering Technologies
• HVAC or electrical training/experience a plus
• Interest in the construction trade
• Strong knowledge of computers
• Dependable
• Good technical aptitude
• Able to use hand tools and power tools
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and perform other general physical requirements such as bending, climbing stairs and ladders
Wage is dependent on experience.
